New FSchecker version

Guys,
Latest Prepar3D v4.3 is out and it seems that LM guys finally decided to change the way they keep P3D setup info in Windows registry. And my big concern was that this could potentially create some problems when vLSO tries to gather necessary data.

Well, please d/l and run this program (found on the right side of this blog) to make sure it properly detects your new 4.3 install. As well as other previous versions, if present on your machines.

Note that now there are two parts in the program's output:
  1. The HKCU root (this is where the program keeps looking for FSX and old P3D versions' info)
  2. The HKLM root (this is where it looks for the latest P3D 4.3 info)

  1. What are the chances for getting a vLSO version for DCS now that the F/A 18C is out and naval operations are pretty big there? We're sorely missing vLSO in DCS and it would be a very welcome addition.

  2. Pretty small, actually. I have no idea how 3rd party software could interact with DCS.

  3. Never knew they implemented carrier ops ;)
Again, no info on API for 3rd party developers...

It looks like BMS is using the tool in the above link. I haven’t tried it yet, but it looks like some graphics are inspired from vLSO.
