vLSO update WIP

Guys,
I've been working on my next update for a few weeks now. One of its new feature will be support for PaylodManagerX. This program is still in beta stage, but I highly recommend you to visit their site, get the program and check it out, especially its aerial refueling function.

Here are some nice sample videos, courtesy Michel Panattoni

Your aircraft will be attached physically to the AI tanker and you can take your hands off your controls while your tanks are refilled. It will stay attached until you “Unlatch” again.
If you establish a visual fueling system on the tanker and use a probe on your own aircraft, that is where you will be connected to the tanker.

My program will interact with PMX so that you can request tanker as usual, but everything else will be done by this great program. Stay tuned! 😉

New FSchecker version

Guys,
Latest Prepar3D v4.3 is out and it seems that LM guys finally decided to change the way they keep P3D setup info in Windows registry. And my big concern was that this could potentially create some problems when vLSO tries to gather necessary data.

Well, please d/l and run this program (found on the right side of this blog) to make sure it properly detects your new 4.3 install. As well as other previous versions, if present on your machines.

Note that now there are two parts in the program's output:
  1. The HKCU root (this is where the program keeps looking for FSX and old P3D versions' info)
  2. The HKLM root (this is where it looks for the latest P3D 4.3 info)

vLSO 1.0.5.4 update

Guys,
This update fixes another small 'auto close' bug, where the advanced settings window, left opened, caused 'access violation' when the sim quit. Now the program gracefully closes this window and quits, saving your settings.
Again, thanks to Michel for reporting this bug.

WIP: T-45C repaints

When I have time I like making aircraft repaints, especially from a 'what if' series. This time my fantasy was the Goshawk sporting all black livery and Aussie BAE Hawk line paint. Though not perfect but fun... 😉

vLSO 1.0.2

Guys,

This is another version with some bugfixes, updates and improvements.

One of the funny bugs worth mentioning was the Aerosoft F-14B Extended v3, named as follows:

[General]
atc_type=Grumman
atc_model=.NoMirrorF14
performance=
category=airplane

So, in order to recognize this aircraft you have to open its Aircraft.cfg and change the atc_model to 'F14'. 😉

My big thanks go to Michel (as always), Scott Gray and Scita Borea, without whose help this version would not have been realized.

This version upgrades the logbook format, so I suggest to install this version into a new folder and copy your logbook into it, so the program will automatically update the logbook. Be warned that this 1.0.2 logbook can not be read by previous 1.0.1.* versions!
